· Historic Hancock's Resolution · Anne Arundel
2795 Bayside Beach Road Pasadena, MD 21056
Historic Hancock’s Resolution is hosting a special "War of 1812: Remember the Lion" event, inviting visitors to step back into local history. The day features a commemorative display honoring the "Lion of Baltimore"—an American schooner privateer burned in Bodkin Creek by a British raiding party on August 22, 1814. Guests can immerse themselves in the era with activities like the Asquith Sharpshooters, explore what is currently blooming in the vibrant summer gardens, and look out for local wildlife. Guided tours of the historic house and farmstead will also be available throughout the event.
